HEY FRIENDS!

It’s been 10 days since we arrived here in Johannesburg, and already this place has begun to feel like home. Our ministry host Impact Africa welcomed our team with open arms and it’s been such a joy working alongside their amazing staff and the interns. The base itself is a beautiful place and we’re so blessed to have a great place to stay after long days of ministry.

My heart is so full as I sit and reflect on this past week, all of the lessons we were taught, all of the conversations we shared, and all of the new friends we’ve met.

My heart has been filled with so many different emotions, there has  been Sadness, as my heart breaks alongside those who have lost their loved ones. I’ve felt Compassion, as I’ve had a close up view of the poverty some of Gods children are experiencing every day.  I’ve felt Happiness dancing in the streets with the sweet children in the squatter camps, and I’ve felt Contentment while holding a baby who was missing his Mom but he stopped crying as he fell asleep in my arms. I’ve found great joy  in allowing the Father to use me as His hands and feet to serve those around me. And I’ve felt a sense of awe, with each new salvation we’ve seen..

GUYS WE’VE SEEN FIVE INDIVIDUALS GIVE THEIR LIFE TO JESUS IN THIS PAST WEEK! That’s five new members welcomed into the family, five lives changed from death to eternal life!

PRAISE GOD!

It’s been such a beautiful journey and the amazing thing is this is only the beginning. I’m so thankful for this opportunity, and for the amazing team God has given me. Each individual is here with a “Yes” for the calling the Father has placed in our hearts, and it’s been so sweet serving alongside them, Whether it’s Handwashing the laundry for the sweet woman who’s waiting for God to provide a job so she can support her family, playing soccer with the kids of the community next to the smelly garbage dump, Sharing our testimonies with high school students, dancing alongside the worship team in the African church, or just simply doing the dinner dishes.

I’m so excited to see how God is going to use us in these next 3 months, Please remember to keep us in your prayers!

I’ll be home soon;) love, Anna
